Opening an Account
To take advantage of a USF Federal Credit Union membership, simply open a basic savings account and maintain a minimum balance of $5. Once your savings account has been opened you may apply for any of our services offered.

- Overdraft protection available from share account and/or line of credit

Opening an Account
To take advantage of a USF Federal Credit Union membership, simply open a basic savings account and maintain a minimum balance of $5. Once your savings account has been opened you may apply for any of our services offered.
To assure prompt processing of your request for membership, please complete each of the following steps:
- Complete and sign our membership application. If you are unable to have your signature witnessed by a member service representative, your signature must be notarized. If there are any joint owners on your account, their signatures also need to be notarized. In addition, copies of a driver's license or other photo ID must be included for all owners of an account.
- Provide proof of eligibility such as a payroll stub, campus ID card or Alumni card. If you are eligible for membership because of a family member, please ask your family member to provide a letter confirming your relationship.
- Provide a check or money order for $5 to open your basic savings account. All other related account information is disclosed in the Rate and Fee Schedule.
- Complete and sign the checking account/ATM application. Signatures on this application must also be notarized if they are not witnessed by a member service representative.
- Include an initial deposit of $25 to help cover the costs of ordering your checks.
