Consumer Credit Counseling Service
Consumer Credit Counseling Service is available to USF Federal Credit Union members on an ongoing basis. The following information is provided to help members decide if they are in need of this service.
 
What is CCCS?
Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS) is a nonprofit United Way Agency. Its goal is to help individuals and families solve their debt problems, learn to handle money and avoid bankruptcy. There are no limits on income level in order to receive this service, and the service is confidential. CCCS is not a lending institution.
 
Appointments
All appointments are confidential. They are conducted in person and, if necessary, by telephone and other electronic means.
 
Financial Counseling
Certified financial counselors provide confidential counseling to families and individuals, working with them to develop a spending plan designed to meet their goals. A written assessment is provided to each family or individual.
 
Housing Counseling
As a Housing and Urban Development (HUD) approved agency, CCCS provides delinquent, default, reverse, pre-purchase, rental and post-purchase counseling.
 
Education Programs
CCCS provides guidelines for maintaining "Healthy Money Relationships" regarding all aspects of credit and personal money management through education programs.
